for visiting this website and taking an interest in Monarch Butterflies.  

As an artist, I feel good when I observe the beauty that I see in nature.  Looking at the fall flowers gently swaying in a breeze brings a smile.  When a Monarch Butterfly enters the scene, it adds joy.   

I like to use watercolors to illustrate the Monarchs and their habitat.  Watercolors appear translucent on the paper like the Monarch's wings are in the sunlight.

I will continue to add more observations and art to this website as the Monarchs come through our back-yard garden each summer.  

When a Monarch visits my garden,  I am reassured that the habitat I have nurtured is a success.

It is exciting to see how a small home garden  with Milkweed & Mexican Sunflowers can contribute to the well being of Monarch Butterflies.
