Common Milkweed Seeds

There are 500 Common Milkweed Plants in our garden.  

These plants originally started to seed themselves, in our yard, over 50 years ago.

  We have encouraged them to grow freely because of their role in the existence of the Monarch Butterfly.

Every year they produce hundreds of pods filled with hundreds of seeds.
